Neurophysiology Ultrasound

The League presented a state of the art Neurophysiology ultrasound machine to Dr Jeremy Bland.

The League of Friends was delighted to present a cutting edge ultrasound machine to Neurophysiology. Dr Bland, Consultant, said the Kent &Canterbury Hospital led the way on carpal tunnel treatment and with this new ultrasound machine, it was possible to see nerves, vessels and tendons in the wrist. K&CH were UK leaders in this field and 5 other UK hospitals were now using the technology; several had sent staff to him for training. There were also lots of other applications of this technology for other nerve diseases. Thanks went to League members for their fundraising efforts.
