Fair Day Fun

A fabulous fundraising day was enjoyed by everyone who came along and supported our annual Hospital Summer Fair on 17 August. We would like to thank all those who attended and contributed towards the success of the day and in particular, our fair organiser and Trustee, Clare Blakemore and the Fair Committee.

Initial indications are that the Fair and Grand Draw raised around £7,500 which will be spent on hospital equipment for the wards and departments.

Thanks goes to everyone who manned stalls and entered into the spirit of our annual fundraiser. We very much appreciated the presence of the Lord Mayor of Canterbury, Cllr Jean Butcher, who opened the proceedings and the City of Canterbury Band who provided a rousing start to the occasion and, later on, the lively atmosphere created by Bay Cats.

The grand draw was held at the end of the fair and 16 lucky winners were announced. Unfortunately, we have been unable to contact the first prize winner so if your name is Liz and you hold ticket number 03040 please contact Lynne on ekh-tr.leagueoffriends@nhs.net to claim your £500 cash prize.
